Open Review Process
For the review of the submitted papers we are using an open review process. During the submission phase we let everyone out there, with the board members, review your submissions publicly. All reviewers should describe what they like about the proposal, rate the session and say what improvement opportunities they see. Based on the feedback the board members will decide the final program.
Why an Open Review Process?
We have seen enough conferences with disappointing programs. One of the major reasons of bad conference programs is a false assumptions about what the attendees would like to experience on a conference. Therefore we would like to ask you, the attendees, what you would like to experience. So please review the submitted papers to help us creating a great conference program.
Who can do a review?
Everyone can. You don't need to participate in the conference, you don't have to be on the board, you just should want to give feedback to the paper contributor.
How is a Review done?
See Review a Paper.
The review itself is very simple. You just have to answer two questions:
- How much would you like to see this session at Lean Kanban Central Europe 2012? (on a scale from 0 to 10)
- If you gave a 10, please explain why. If you could not give a 10, what should the author change about his proposal to get a 10?
That's it. Simple, huh?
What happens with the Reviews?
After a review is given by a reviewer (that might be you!) the contributor of the paper can read it. Based on a review the contributor of a paper is able to improve her paper.
The reviewers of a paper will be informend, if a contributor updates her paper, so the reviewer can update his review according to the updated contribution. That way we hope to achieve really good contributions over time.
Is it really a Democratic Process?
No. The board members decide about the final program based on the feedback from the Open Review Process. The program is not created by the reviewers.
We´d like to thank the Technical Advisory Board which has done a really great job. You guys rock!
